POLASTORM stainless steel propellers are manufactured from ASTM A890-4A duplex stainless steel, solution heat treated.

The composition of ASTM A890-4A steel is notable for the presence of copper (Cu) and a relatively high chromium (Cr) content.

• Copper is mainly used to improve acid resistance.

• Chromium is the defining alloying element of stainless steel. A higher chromium content provides additional corrosion resistance .
