Product information about the KMDA100 & KMDA100M Steering Sets:
We have two Riviera steering sets in our range: the KMDA100 and the KMDA100M . The KMDA100 steering set is suitable for boats with an outboard motor with a maximum length of up to 9 meters and an inboard motor up to a maximum of 10.5 meters.
The KMDA100M steering set is suitable for all types of boats with a maximum length of up to 10.5 meters.
Both sets come with a T02 cable suitable for up to 250 HP.
The KMDA100 has a high-quality plastic planetary steering box, and the KMDA100M is the same steering box but is made of robust metal.
The Riviera mechanical steering kit KMDA100M utilizes a planetary gear design. A planetary gear design features three satellite gears that rotate on their axes and simultaneously rotate around the central rudder shaft.
This ensures an equal distribution of motor torque across three points of the central gear, thereby sharing and balancing system loads. The benefits of this special design are a longer system lifespan, higher efficiency, and less motor feedback compared to single-pinion gearboxes.
