Product information about the KMDA100 & KMDA100M Handlebar Sets:

We offer two Riviera steering sets: the KMDA100 and the KMDA100M . The KMDA100 steering set is suitable for boats with an outboard motor up to 9 meters in length and an inboard motor up to 10.5 meters in length.
The KMDA100M steering set is suitable for all types of boats with a maximum length of 10.5 metres.
Both sets come with a T02 cable which is suitable for up to 250 HP.
The KMDA100 has a high-quality plastic planetary steering gear and the KMDA100M has the same steering gear but is made of robust metal.

The Riviera mechanical steering gear set KMDA100M uses a planetary gear design. A planetary gear design has three satellite gears that rotate on their axes and simultaneously revolve around the central rudder axis.
This ensures equal distribution of engine torque across three points of the central gear, thus sharing and balancing system loads. The advantages of this special design are longer system life, higher efficiency, and less engine feedback compared to single-pinion gearboxes.
