Product information about the Ultraflex T71FC Steering Gear

The Ultraflex T71FC steering box is a widely used mechanical steering head that forms the heart of your boat's mechanical steering system. The letters 'FC' stand for Fast Connect, which means that the steering cable can be connected to the steering box quickly and without special tools thanks to a quick-release system.

• Extremely robust: Designed with a corrosion-resistant mechanism to withstand harsh conditions on the water.

• Steering wheel revolutions: Approximately 3.8 revolutions from maximum port to maximum starboard for accurate and direct course determination.

• Maximum steering wheel diameter: Suitable for sports steering wheels and boat steering wheels with a diameter up to 406 mm .

• Application: Universally applicable to motorboats, sloops, and speedboats up to approx. 10.5 meters in length with outboard motors, inboard motors, or sterndrives.

What else do you need? (Not included as standard)

If you are building a completely new steering system, the steering rack alone is not sufficient. You will then need the following parts as well:

1. The steering cable: This steering rack works exclusively with the heavy-duty Ultraflex M66 steering cable. .

2. The mounting kit / cover cap: To screw the steering head onto your dashboard. You can choose from the X34 (for a straight 90° mounting) or the X35 (for a sporty 20° angle mounting).
